NEVSAIL opened for its first season in June 2004 at kilkee, Co Clare, which has been described as follows:- "Kilkee is regarded as one of the safest and most popular bathing places on the west coast". Thankfully, it has been very busy and productive throughout its seasons and therefore, we will be re-opening again for this season at an earlier date in May.
NEVSAIL HAS EXPANDED: WE NOW ALSO RUN A NEVSAIL WATERSPORTS IN DOHYLE LOUGH, RATHKEALE, CO. LIMERICK
WE OFFER :
NEVSAIL is situated on the beach front next to the life guard hut, where we provide Training Courses in Sailing, Windsurfing, Powerboating, Kayaking, Canoeing,Surfing, and much much more, for all ages, from beginners to the more advanced.
These Training Courses can be provided in any of these watersports, either on a weekly basis, over the course of a weekend, mornings or afternoons, or even for a three hour "taster" session, depending on what may suit you best.
All our instructors are fully qualified ISA (Irish Sailing Association) and ICU (Irish Canoe Union) instructors which also guarantees you a high standard of tuition and safety and are eager to share their knowledge and skills with you. Nevsail is a recognised training centre for both the ISA and ICU and on completion of one of our courses you will receive a certificate of proficiency by the National governing bodies.
SUMMER CAMPS:
We provide fun activity weeks all summer long for boys and girls aged 6 - 16 years, in the mornings from 10am - 1pm, Monday - Friday, when the kids get to try out activities such as kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, raft building, orienteering, boogie boarding, surfing, fishing, power boating and plenty of team challenge games.
All students are provided with wetsuits and life jackets, and are always accompanied by a fully qualified instructor.
GROUP OUTINGS / TEAM BUILDING:
NEVSAIL also caters for Team Building events and Group Outings, where a specific programme is planned to suit your group's needs. These programmes are ideal for youth and community groups, sports & social societies, volunteers and staff training days, college outings, school tours, corporate groups, and many more. They offer lateral thinking puzzles, team challenge initiative tasks (such as raft building and so on).
These challenges often help to increase mutual trust and improve teamwork, interpersonal skills, and communication amongst group members. They also provide adults and kids an opportunity to let the hair down and have some good old fashioned fun!!.
